Verdura serves gardeners and non-gardeners in the Portland metro area. We set up organic backyard vegetable and herb gardens, providing services including:

A free, no obligation site analysis and consultation to determine whether you have enough sunlight and space to grow a garden. Verdura gardens are very compact, so adequate sunlight - a minimum of six hours a day - is the only really critical factor. It doesn't matter what kind of soil you have, if any! Our gardens come complete with a proprietary mix of organic, nutrient rich, water-retaining soil.
Based on your responses to our downloadable Garden Preferences Evaluation, which tells us about your family's size and preferences, we develop a comprehensive design and planting schedule for the entire growing season. This garden plan maps out expected planting and harvest dates for each crop in your garden.
We then set up self-contained culinary garden frames or containers, adding weed barrier cloth, soil, and vertical crop support systems.
As needed, we add a watering system to provide consistent moisture to your new garden.
Then, as part of our Garden Grow program, we plant your new garden with organic vegetables, including many heirloom and unusual varieties. And best of all, we come back on a regular basis over the entire growing season. Each visit we harvest, replant, weed, employ organic pest control methods if needed, and add any necessary soil amendments. All you have to do is kick back and enjoy your gorgeous new garden!

Payment is easy. We accept personal checks, or you can pay with credit cards or your bank account using PayPal.
We offer consultation to folks who would like additional education or help in designing, planning or maintaining their gardens. We also provide private and group cooking classes through our catering company, Fleur de Sel Cuisine.
