Verdura garden frames, trellises and other accessories
Built of all-natural, sturdy 2" thick Douglas fir, our compact gardens will grow an impressive quantity of vegetables. We provide two basic types of gardens: frames and containers. Complete with heavy-duty weed-blocking landscape fabric, frames are set up right over existing soil, grass or hardscape anywhere on your property.
Garden containers are designed with heavy-duty exterior plywood bases with drainage holes. These containers are perfect for homeowners with limited space, or who would like to place gardens around a pool or on a deck or patio.
We treat all our wood with a clear, nontoxic wood stabilizer for a natural look that will fade gradually to a soft gray. We can also stain the exteriors with a natural, nontoxic stain in a wide variety of colors that makes the wood less prone to fading over time.
Garden frame and trellis styles

sturdy basic style with neatly rounded corners. The
new frame shown here is treated with wood stabilizer only.
The Mayan Pyramid is a stunning, four-tier design that will add drama and style to any part of your yard, including decks or patios. The design can be configured several different ways to frame pathways, adorn patios, and add a unique accent to your garden.
The Craftsman adds handsome 4" square corner posts
topped with post caps in your choice of natural copper or
solid glass in cobalt blue, amber, olive green or opaque
black.
Growing potatoes in containers
Growing potatoes in containers is fun and educational! Our Potato Frame is designed extra-deep to produce the maximum yield per square foot of homegrown potatoes. Three feet square and 30" tall, the top two layers of slats are removable to allow maximum light early in the season and an easy harvest at the end. We plant potatoes in the bottom 6" of the container, then fill in soil and replace slats as the plants grow. At the end of the season, plants die back and we remove the slats again to make it easier to find and harvest the potatoes.
Frames with built-in seating
We offer 18” high frames with seating around the edges. This can make it easier to garden in the beds as well as provide a way for people to sit in and enjoy the garden. Additionally, we can build 24” high raised beds for folks with back problems, in wheelchairs, or with any condition making it difficult to bend over.
Vertical gardening with our custom trellises
Vertical gardening is a unique and attractive way to maximize garden productivity in a limited space. Many tomatoes, cucumbers, winter squash, peas and beans can be grown vertically. For gardens that include these and other vertically grown crops, we offer an economical, long-lasting plant trellis. Made of galvanized steel pipe and strung with heavy-duty UV-resistant nylon netting, the trellis is designed to last for many growing seasons. A premium alternative is the copper trellis, made of solid copper tubing that will weather over time to a classic verdigris patina, enhancing the beauty of your vertical garden.
3 bin composters
Our attractive and versatile Douglas fir 3 bin composter, shown here, is large enough to handle kitchen waste and garden and other yard debris from even a large property. It also helps reduce your long-term costs and increase the sustainability of your garden. Size is 4' x 12' x 3' high. Includes removable front slats for easy access for turning compost. Also available in cedar.
Please note that when properly maintained, our 3 bin composters are attractive, sanitary and produce no obnoxious odors.
