Verdura's garden consulting services

Even experienced gardeners run into issues! We offer consulting services in the Portland, Oregon metro area including:

  •      
      Sunflower as a companion plant in a garden  
         
    Site analysis. If you are considering having Verdura set up a new garden but are unsure about location, size and cost, contact us for a free, no obligation site analysis. We can help you determine the optimal number and size of beds, the best location on your property, and can then provide you with an estimate.
  • Soil analysis for existing raised bed gardens. We’ll test your soil for fertility, pH and structure and make recommendations on improvements and on gardening with organic amendments.

  • Advice on converting to organic gardening at home. If you are switching over to organic gardening at home (and we hope you are!), we can help. A one-hour on-site consultation will provide you with a wealth of organic gardening advice on amending soil, fertilizing, pest and disease control, companion and succession planting, and more.

  • Garden planting plans. Even if you’re not signed up for Verdura’s Garden Grow coaching and maintenance program, we can develop a customized year-round vegetable garden planting plan for you. Based on the number and size of your existing garden beds and your Home Garden Survey, we’ll develop a comprehensive design and planting schedule for the entire growing season. This planting plan maps out expected planting and harvest dates for each crop and utilizes succession and companion planting techniques to maximize the health and productivity of your garden. Pricing depends upon garden size, and starts at around $110 for a year-round planting plan created just for you. Contact us for an estimate.
