Once it's installed, how does your garden grow?
Verdura’s Garden Grow program ensures your ongoing success as a gardener, for about the same cost as having someone cut your lawn. Here’s what our vegetable garden maintenance program includes:
- We supply and plant all the vegetables, flowers and herbs specified in your customized Garden Planting Plan for the entire growing season. These are not the typical hybrid standards you see at big box stores or garden centers. Our plant starts and seeds are grown by local organic farmers and Oregon seed suppliers who specialize in varieties well adapted to our climate. We offer delicious and unusual vegetable and herb plants grown for taste and nutritional value, with a strong emphasis on organic, open-pollinated, heirloom varieties.
- Weeding, amending your soil, all-natural pest control, pruning, cleanup and any other required maintenance
- Fine-tuning your irrigation system as the seasons progress to minimize water use and maximize plant health and productivity
- Every visit is a private gardening lesson. If you want to participate in the vegetable garden maintenance, ask questions, and learn what we’re doing, we make every effort to schedule visits to fit your schedule. We invite your participation – our long-term goal is to help our clients learn to become self-sufficient gardeners.
- Depending upon the size of your garden, your available time, and the level of garden maintenance participation you desire, we can schedule visits every one, two or three weeks. The Garden Grow program starts at just $70 a visit – including all plant starts and seeds. We also offer garden planting plans and hourly consulting services for more experienced gardeners.
Note: It’s important to understand that we are always at Mother Nature’s mercy. Weather and other factors can impact the health and productivity of plants. You can be assured that Verdura Culinary Gardens will do everything possible to ensure an optimal growing environment for your garden.
